Well Engineered has supplied Velocity Machining & Welding with the detailed structural design of a custom loading ramp for a train yard in Halifax.  The ramp is suitable for a capacity of 80,000 kg.  The ramp is 11 feet wide by 48 feet long with a load height of 42 inches.  In spite of its size, the ramp can be moved using a forklift.  It is suitable for either three or four wheeled vehicles, with a max capacity of 50,000 kg per axle, or 25,000 kg for any single wheel.  The ramp has features for use with rail cars.
